As I Look Back...

A school week bustling with activities!! In fact, we did not get much time to engage the class in learning. As June 19 is marked Reading Day nationwide, there was a lot of associated school activities organized for the learners. Sri. Binu K. Sam (St. Mary's HSS Pathanamthitta) addressed the students and enlightened them on the importance of nurturing reading habits through a lively and interactive session.

The afternoon session of the day was devoted to honour the students who came up with flying colours in the SSLC examination 2023-24. Sri. Pandalam Shivan kutty (Pandalam NSS Taluk Union President and Member of NSS Director board) inaugurated the session and gave away mementos to the winners.

The Reading Day celebrations extended to the next day as well, and there was the screening of an educational movie during the forenoon session of 20th June.

The next day, June 21, being International Yoga Day, children were given training in yogic poses by the resource person Shri. Ayyappan. The benefits of practising Yoga on a regular basis were also discussed during the session.

Meanwhile, I discussed the activities following the chapter "Half a Day" and had a fantastic time with my students.
