Experiences of an Exam Week
The week was solely dedicated to curricular activities and the students were a bit restless about the mid-term examination that was scheduled from Wednesday. I continued with the textual activities provided with the poem "Song of a Flower" and dealt with the poetic device "Metaphor" in detail.
I had invigilation duty for three subjects in the mid-term exam. It was a nostalgic experience as I could literally recollect the vivid memories of myself writing exams in eighth standard. But I strongly felt that the attitude of learners towards exams has changed drastically. There were hardly any tensed faces in the examination hall.
As a part of EDU - 11: Developmental Perspectives in Education, we, the teacher-trainees from the Department of English, conducted a conscientization programme for the students of 8C on 17th November 2023 (Friday) from 11.00am to 12.15pm. We chose the topic, "Teenage Problems", as the students could easily relate it to their own life-situations.
