When Theory Paves Way for Actual Practice..

       It was our first day of teaching practice. I was allotted to NSS GHS Pandalam for practice teaching.  As it was my first day in school in the garb of a teacher, a feeling of excitement mixed with a little bit tension gripped my heart. Moreover, the quick transition from student life to that of a responsible and reliable teacher was a real pressure.       As the school arts fest is scheduled next week, the students seemed to be in a state of excitement. Many of them were rehearsing for competition. I had to take class for VIII B students during the fourth period. As it was my first day with them, I introduced myself and let them introduce themselves to me. The students seemed interested in building a rapport with me. I began the third unit of the English Course Book "Seeds and Deeds" and gave a general introduction to its themes before proceeding to the lesson. Welcome Successors..!!

"Jagapoka 2k23" - What other title can convey the vibes of the freshers' day we organized for our junior students! Although they joined our college a month ago, we could not officially make them a part of our fraternity till today. Hence, "Jagapoka 2k23" was totally an ice breaking session for the first year students and they enthusiastically displayed their myriad talents on stage. The programme proceeded in an informal and interactive way, and the freshers actively participated in all the fun filled activities that cheered up the whole day. Celebrating the freshers' day event today was truly symbolic, as from tomorrow, we are off to the schools for practice teaching, leaving our beloved college in the hands of  new comers. New Beginnings 

Adieu Dear Seniors!!

     Today, we conducted the official farewell function for the 2021-23 batch B.Ed students whom we proudly call our dear seniors. The past academic year that we spent together was nothing less than a unique and irreplaceable camaraderie. So, the function was titled "Nammal" - the Malayalam equivalent of "We" - which transcends boundaries of seniority and all concerns of superiority.       The programme, inaugurated by our principal Dr. P. G. Ajimol, was a fiesta of colours. We created a nostalgic and serene ambience with lights and balloons and displayed short video presentations that capture the memories and achievements of each department. A few students shared their B. Ed experiences as well.            To add liveliness to the programme, we awarded funny titles - Best Comedian, Best Dance Master, Best Entertainer, Perfectionist, Beauty Queen etc - to those selected by the 2021-23 batch students themselves, based on a goog...
